How Can Hypnosis Help Children?

Children work very well with the hypnotherapeutic approach. They already understand the world of the imagination and easily achieve the relaxed state necessary to work with the subconscious mind.

In the adult session, only one induction is done during the whole session. With children, hypnosis is induced 3 to 6 times during the one session. This is done because the attention span of a child is much shorter than that of an adult. The hypnotic session for a child is done in a lighthearted matter that is fun for the child. Amazing things can be accomplished with children using the power of hypnosis. If you think about it, children are in a constant state of imagination and this is what is needed for a child to be SUCCESSFUL at obtaining their goal.

The list in areas that hypnosis can be helpful to children is unlimited:

· Helping to outgrow enuresis (bed wetting)
· Behavior modification
· Learning skills such as focusing in school
· Feeling confident about examinations and tests
· Alleviating performance anxiety
· Building confidence and self-esteem
· Habit control (i.e. thumb sucking, nail biting, hair pulling, etc)
· Sports performance
